Update: I have been told that the TNotifier app no longer authenticates. This seems to be due to the fact that the library I have used with Visual
Studio is now NOT working. Please bear with me with me will I investigate....

I have just finished the initial creation of an application to monitor my Twitter account for new updates. I already use the GMAIL Notifier app to keep an eye on my gmail account for new messages so I decided to write a similar application to notify me of new updates to my Twitter time line, and so far it's been very useful in letting me know when I get updates so I then only have to check Twitter when I need to.

To install it just unzip the file into a suitable directory ( there is a readme in the file with install instructions). When you have installed it the app will ask you to login to your Twittter account and it will then do an initial check. This notes the last Twitter update that you have in your timeline and then uses this as a reference.

Every 2 minutes (or so) it checks your Twitter account for new updates since the last one it noted, if it finds any it displays an "information balloon" at the bottom of the screen telling you you have new updates.

The app runs as an icon in the system tray with an options menu that can be accessed with a right click. Here you will find various options including a "Twitter" menu that takes you straight to twitter.com.

Please be aware this is a very beta app that I developed for my own use, it is being made freely available for download but without any warranty of any kind.
